Magnolia Atlas Details

Magnolia Atlas is a larger flowering variety that produces spectacular and beautiful flowers. It bears masses of very large and showy, semi-double, light pink flowers in late winter on the naked stems, before the foliage emerges. The lush, dark green foliage emerges soon after, remains this colour until autumn, then develops yellow tones before falling. It typically grows to 10 m tall and 6 m wide and can be contained or shaped with trimming. This Magnolia grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of frost and cool climates. Magnolia Atlas is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting in a larger garden, included in cottage gardens, or used in avenue plantings. The beauty of this tree will please no matter where it is planted.
