Magnolia Elizabeth is an outstanding tree due to its spectacular flowering. Through late winter and early spring, it bears masses of large and showy, single, fragrant, yellow flowers on the naked stems before the foliage emerges. Foliage emerges soon after and is large, dark green, and lush. It typically grows to 8 m tall and 5 m wide and responds well to trimming. This variety grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of frost and cool climates.
