Magnolia stellata Gold Star, Star Magnolia Gold Star, Gold Star Magnolia
Magnolia stellata Gold Star, commonly known as Star Magnolia, is a deciduous tree that bears masses of fragrant, cream-yellow flowers in spring. The showy flowers are borne on the naked stems before the foliage emerges, providing for both a dramatic and colourful display. It grows with a pyramidal shape to about 5 m tall and the same wide, and can be trimmed and shaped as necessary. Magnolia Gold Star makes for a fantastic specimen and is commonly included in mixed plantings in larger gardens.
