Malus coronaria Charlottae, Crabapple Charlottae
Malus Charlottae is a variety of Crabapple that bears masses of large and showy, scented, double, pink flowers through spring which result in small, green-yellow fruit. The foliage in spring emerges green, ages to a darker green, and then develops orange and red tones in autumn before falling as it grows to 7 m tall and 6 m wide. Malus Charlottae is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, or included anywhere the flowers and fruit can be appreciated.
