Lambada Crabapple

Malus Lambada is a variety of Crabapple that features masses of showy, soft-pink flowers through spring. These result in small fruit in autumn. The foliage emerges with a red tint, ages to dark green with bronze undertones during summer, then develops colourful red tones in autumn before falling as it grows to 4 m tall and the same wide. Malus Lambada is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, included in cottage gardens, or used in avenue plantings.

Malus Lambada Details

Malus Lambada is a variety of Crabapple grown for its flowering and tidy growth habit. It bears masses of showy, soft-pink flowers through spring. These result in small fruit in autumn which attract all manner of wildlife. The foliage emerges with a red tint, ages to dark green with bronze undertones during summer, then develops colourful red tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 4 m tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, that does not dry out. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates. Malus Lambada is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, included in cottage gardens, or used in avenue plantings.
