Malus Mt Earnslaw is a variety of Crabapple grown for its profuse flowering and colourful fruit. It bears masses of showy, pure white flowers through spring which literally transforms the tree. These result in small, red fruit in autumn which are flushed with yellow and are great for attracting wildlife. The foliage emerges green in spring, ages to a dark green, then develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide and can be contained with trimming as necessary. This variety performs best when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site that does not dry out. It is tolerant of frost and cool climates.
