Metrosideros excelsa Scarlet Pimpernel is a small tree grown for its showy flowers. This NZ native Southern Rata produces stunning displays of red flowers in summer. This NZ Christmas tree typically grows to 5 m tall and 3.5 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site.
