Metrosideros Moon Maiden is a compact variety of Pohutukawa that produces a brilliant display of showy, cream-yellow flowers through summer. It bears attractive grey-green, glossy foliage which provides a lovely accent to the flowers. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3.5 m wide, though can be trimmed to smaller sizes. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of poor soils, dry periods, frost, and coastal conditions but will benefit from being protected while it is establishing.
