The Magnolia Michelia Coco is a handsome, evergreen tree grown for both its foliage and exquisite flowers. It forms a small, shapely tree and carries large, glossy green leaves which are attractive in their own right. Velvet buds are borne through winter and late spring, and produce exquisite, fragrant, cream-white flowers with a brown centre. This evergreen typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or semi-shade on a well-drained, sheltered position. It is tolerant of cool climates and short periods of dry.
