Nothofagus cunninghamii, commonly known as Myrtle Beech, is an evergreen, Australian native tree that grows to 30 m tall and 15 m wide. The foliage comprises small, dark green leaves which are held densely in loose sprays. New growth in spring is coloured red-pink-orange. Nothofagus cunninghamii makes for a lovely specimen and is commonly added to a mixed planting in a large garden.
