Olearia traversiorum, commonly known as the Chatham Island Ake Ake, is a fast-growing, NZ native tree that grows to about 5 m tall and 4 m wide. The leaves are glossy green, oval shaped, and have a white underside. They are complemented with clusters of small, white flowers in summer. Olearia traversiorum is commonly included in a mixed planting, revegetation planting, trimmed into a hedge, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or used for shelter on dry, exposed sites.
