The orange flowers appear in spring, with some sporadic flowering through summer and autumn. It grows to about 10 m tall and 5 m wide, bearing oval and leathery, glossy green leaves. Osmanthus fragrans is commonly grown as a specimen, added to a mixed planting, used for screening, contained in a courtyard planting, or included anywhere the fragrance of this plant can be enjoyed.
