The lush foliage is held densely and releases a pleasant lemon scent when crushed. Small and fragrant, pale-yellow flowers provide a lovely accent through summer. It grows reasonably quickly to about 6 m tall and 3 m wide and can be contained with trimming. Best results with this evergreen are achieved when it is planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of wind, coastal conditions, periods of dry, moderate frost, and most soil types, except extreme wet or dry.
