Pittosporum umbellatum Details

Pittosporum umbellatum is a bushy tree that features dark green, glossy leaves that are oval and leathery. These are held on near black branches. Showy clusters of fragrant, pink flowers are produced in spring and stand out from the foliage. Plants will typically grow to 4 m tall and 2 m wide but can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this tree is achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site though it will tolerate poorer sites as well. Pittosporum umbellatum is commonly included in a mixed planting, added to a coastal planting, planted around outdoor living areas, or used as a backdrop for smaller plants.
