Houi
Plagianthus regius betulinus, commonly known as Houi or Ribbonwood, is a deciduous, NZ native tree which has both a juvenile and adult form. Juvenile plants are twiggy with interlacing branches hosting foliage that is small and mid-green. As the tree ages the leaves become larger and more prominent as it grows to 5 m tall and 4 m wide. Plagianthus regius betulinus is commonly added to a mixed planting or included in revegetation programs.
