The leaves on this variety tend to have deeper lobes than other varieties. It also features attractive bark which flakes off to give a speckled appearance on the trunk. It grows with a broad crown to about 12 m tall and 8 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site, and is tolerant of frost, cool climates, urban pollution, and moderate wind.
