The rapid growth rate of Poplar Crows Nest makes it ideal for using as a shelter belt and for screening out noise and dust. It is also well suited to helping with soil conservation, including in riparian plantings, growing as a specimen, or using to line an entranceway.

Poplar Crows Nest is a fast-growing deciduous tree. It grows with a tight and upright habit with a central trunk. The leaves emerge a fresh green colour in spring and develop golden yellow tones in autumn before falling. They are held densely as it grows to 18 m tall and 3 m wide. This tree can be trimmed as necessary and will produces news shoots even after severe pruning. It grows best when planted in full sun across all soil types, except extreme dry, and is hardy to frost, cool climates, dry periods, coastal environments, wind, and wet soils. The rapid growth rate of Poplar Crows Nest makes it ideal for using as a shelter belt and for screening out noise and dust. It is also well suited to helping with soil conservation, including in riparian plantings, growing as a specimen, or using to line an entranceway.
