Pyrus calleryana Bradford, commonly known as the Bradford Pear Tree, is an ornamental pear grown for its prolific flowering, tidy form, and fantastic autumn colours. Masses of single, white flowers are borne in spring just as the leaves emerge. The lush foliage emerges light green, ages to become dark green, then develops burgundy red-brown tones in autumn before falling as it grows to about 15 m tall and 8 m wide. Pyrus calleryana Bradford is commonly used in street or avenue plantings, grown as specimen, or added to a mixed planting in a larger garden.
