Robur
Quercus canariensis robur, commonly known as the English Oak, is a deciduous tree that features lush foliage and great form. The foliage emerges light green in spring, ages to dark green, then lightens only slightly in autumn before turning brown and falling. Small, yellow-green flowers in spring produce brown acorns in autumn. This majestic beauty typically grows to 15 m tall and 12 m wide with a broad and rounded shape. Quercus canariensis robur is commonly grown as a specimen in large gardens and parks with the added advantage of fantastic summer shade.
