Quercus furfuracea
Quercus furfuracea is a large and deciduous tree with lush and colourful foliage. This majestic beauty typically grows to 15 m tall and 8 m wide with a rounded, open growth habit. The foliage emerges light green in spring, ages to dark green, then develops impressive yellow-orange tones in autumn before falling. Small, yellow-green flowers in spring produce brown acorns in autumn. Quercus furfuracea is commonly grown as a specimen in large gardens and parks where it will provide wonderful summer shade and fabulous autumn colours.
