Quercus leucotrichophora, commonly known as the Himalayan Oak or Banj Oak, is a medium sized, deciduous tree featuring interesting foliage. The dark green leaves are glossy green and leathery with a silver-green underside and develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. Yellow-green flowers appear in spring as the leaves emerge and result in acorns which attract a variety of wildlife. The Himalayan Oak typically grows to 20 m tall and 15 m wide with a broad crown. Quercus leucotrichophora is a somewhat rare and unusual tree that is suited to growing as a specimen in a park or large garden.
