This spectacular Red American Oak typically grows to 18 m tall and 10 m wide with a somewhat conical, open growth habit. The foliage emerges light green in spring, ages to dark green, then changes to an impressive red-brown in autumn before falling. Small, yellow-green flowers in spring produce brown acorns in autumn. Quercus rubra Maxima is ideal for large gardens and parks, for street and avenue planting, as a shade tree, or for planting anywhere the beautiful autumn colours can be appreciated.

This spectacular Red American Oak typically grows to 18 m tall and 10 m wide with a somewhat conical, open growth habit.
