Clusters of fragrant, white flowers are borne from late spring through summer and add extra interest to this tree as it reaches 12 m tall and 6 m wide. Robinia Tropical Splash, commonly known as Honey Locust, is a deciduous tree grown for its colourful foliage and lovely form. The fern-like foliage emerges light yellow-green in spring, ages to become green-yellow, then turns bright yellow in autumn before falling. The lush leaves are borne off stems that are held with a gentle arch. Clusters of fragrant, white flowers are borne from late spring through summer and add extra interest to this tree. It will reach 12 m tall and 6 m wide but is often trimmed to much smaller sizes during winter. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site, and is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and dry periods.
