This stunning tree is grown for its elegant and pendulous foliage. The leaves emerge mid-green in spring, age to dark green, then develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It grows with a cascading nature to about 4 m tall and 3 m wide, and performs best when grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. ‘Pendula’ is commonly grown as a specimen, included in a mixed planting, or included in avenue or park plantings.
