Fragrant Snowbell
Commonly known as Fragrant Snowbell, this is a small, deciduous tree grown for its scented flowers. The white, bell-shaped blooms are borne in pendulous clusters through spring and are followed by small, light brown fruit. The flowers are complemented by mid-green foliage which large and velvety, and develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. It typically grows with a pyramidal shape to about 10 m tall and 6 m wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. Fragrant Snowbell is commonly grown as a specimen, included in a mixed planting, or planted so its beauty and fragrance can be appreciated.
