Ulmus Wredei is a variety of Golden Elm grown for its colourful foliage and upright form. The leaves emerge bright yellow and retain this colour into summer. Through late summer the leaves develop green tones which can give the tree a dual-coloured display. As autumn progresses the leaves turn shades of orange and yellow before falling. It grows with a somewhat narrow and columnar shape to eventually reach 8 m tall and 3 m wide. Ulmus Wredei is commonly grown as a specimen and is perfect for avenue planting as well as smaller gardens.
