This herbaceous perennial grows as a clump, producing thin, strap like, mid-green leaves, and typically grows to 45 cm tall and the same wide. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained site. It will grow well in partial shade but at the expense of prolific flowering. It is also tolerant of dry periods, coastal environments, moderate wind, and frost.
